Sunny Citrus and Sprout Smoothie

This vibrant orange smoothie is a welcome refresher at any time of day. For a creamier drink, swap the water for almond or oat milk.

Serves 2 (serving size: 1 cup)

Ingredients

  • 1 cup organic alfalfa sprouts, loosely packed
  • 1 cup fresh diced papaya
  • ½ cup water or almond milk
  • 1 tbsp chia seeds
  • ½ lemon, juiced
  • 1 medium carrot, peeled and chopped
  • 1 medium pear, cored and chopped

Directions

  1. Combine ingredients in a blender.
  2. Blend on high until smooth.
  3. Divide the mixture into two glasses; serve immediately.
