
Mexican Chocolate Smoothie

This creamy smoothie combines rich cacao and warming cinnamon with the unexpected peppery kick of broccoli sprouts for a bold and nutritious twist. No maple syrup? Use honey, agave nectar, or any liquid sweetener of your choice.
Serves 2 (serving size: 1 cup)
Ingredients
- 1 cup unsweetened almond milk (or preferred milk)
- ½ cup high-glucoraphanin broccoli sprouts, loosely packed
- 1 tbsp cacao powder
- ½ tsp cinnamon
- ⅛ tsp cayenne pepper (optional)
- ½ tsp vanilla extract
- 1-2 tsp maple syrup
- ½ medium banana, frozen
- ¼ avocado
- ½ cup ice
Directions
- Combine ingredients in a blender.
- Blend on high until smooth and creamy. Taste and adjust sweetness or spice as desired.
- Divide the mixture into two glasses; serve immediately.
